My View As A Parent

If you didn't know May is National Parenting Month. I  learned this listening to a local radio program. I know as a parent I second guess myself wondering if you have a done a good job. We do get that confirmation when someone tells you that you are doing a great job. It do makes you feel good. There are days you wish you had several clones of yourself so you can give your children more time. If you work, that is eight hours of your day as it is. The child or children in school that seven to eight hours of their day. Then Mother or Father gets home have to cook, help the children with their homework, or pick up food, go to a activity and  get to bed so you can prepare for the next day. That is your week. The weekend is time to relax but house chores has to be done before the fun begins.
Parents sometimes you wonder what can we do after we paid the bills, put a little money in saving and there isn't really enough left to do anything with the kids. Well, there is check your local newspaper for what events that you can attend that is fun. Better yet they are learning without their knowledge of it. If you have  a teenager that is a little different. An example with a teenager is shop online or play some games online. Another activity you can do as a whole family is give back to the community. Volunteer at a local shelter, soup kitchen, Salvation Army  or any organization that needs your help for a couple of hours. This is a life lesson to teach your children and remind yourself how fortunate you are. The career of being a Parent is the hardest job. The reward is the greatest.
